Character Connections

 Maybe if we let all the elem. librarians know, they could bring or submit a list to us by the Dec. 10th library meeting.  Of do we want it together before then?  Just a suggestion to get ideas from everyone!  I think the 7 core virtues that John mentioned are a good place to start.  

Let's agree on the terminology first:

How about: Compassion, Generosity (Giving), Honesty, Perseverence, Respect, Responsibility, Self-Discipline. These are the 7 Core Virtues of Boyer's Basic School. Are they the words we want to use as our categories? Do we want more or other words?

Is the next step to submit titles in a list for each virtue? Some books are multiple-virtued...can go on several lists.   Bev

Terminology is good.  At this point, it might best that I put together a database that can be used to manage titles and what virtues they are attached to.

What fields are we interested in?  Author, Title and checkboxes for each virtue that applies?  John

That would work well. Will we attempt to do this among the elementary librarians on the Tech committee, or open it up for all to submit titles? I'm on the side of "the more the merrier" and as complete a list as possible.
